Die folgende Beschreibung legt fest, wie in den MINT-Systemen von Edelweiss die Bezeichnungen und Ordnerstrukturen für Record Items und Requirements zu wählen sind, wenn es um die Verwaltung von Qualifications geht.

Zusätzlich werden technische Möglichkeiten aufgezeigt, mit denen sich spezielle Anforderungen an die Bedeutung von Record Items umsetzen lassen.

Zur Einleitung zuerst eine abgekürzte Beschreibung des Currency Managements aus der MINT-Dokumentation.

In MINT TMS Desktop, all technical qualifications, medical certificates, and so on are called record items. Thus, resources receive qualifications through assignment of corresponding record items.

Some qualifications and certificates last a lifetime, but resources need to regularly update expiring qualifications to keep their job qualifications current. To keep them current, resources need to attend recurrent trainings at specific intervals. Plus, these qualifications may be dependent upon other technical or medical certificates.

When a qualification expires, renewing it can be a hassle. This puts pressure on you, as a training manager, to keep an eye on the validity of record item assignments and schedule trainings to prevent expiration. This is where currency requirements come in handy.

Currency requirements are designed to relieve the pain of manual monitoring of the assignments’ expiration date and to automate the related training-based workflows.
